FAQ

  1. How do I measure?
    You need to measure your window for an inside mount in three places: across the top, middle and bottom. If you get different measurements then use the smallest of the three when placing your order. If you need more specific assistance please email us at info@serenityhomefinishings.com
  2. What is a cord cleat?
    This is the clip that comes with the shades that allows you to clip the excess cord length to the wall versus letting it hang all the way down.
  3. What is a hold down bracket?
    This is a small bracket that goes on the end of your shades or blinds that hang on doors to keep them from swinging when you open and close your door.
  4. Is there a lay away option?
    Yes, we do have an option. Please email us at info@serenityhomefinishings.com
  5. What is the Hobble style?
    1. This style for both Natural Woven and Roman shades. For the Natural Woven’s this refers to how the shade looks when raised all the way to the top. The shade folds and cascades down like a waterfall versus rolling up to the top like a hotdog.
    2. For the Roman shades this style refers to how the shade hangs as well as rolls up. The shade when all the way down keeps the hobbled look versus just laying flat.
  6. What is the exact deduction taken off of the blinds and shades for an inside mount?
    A ˝” deduction is taken off of each side of the blind or shade to allow for the mounting brackets and a snug fit.
  7. Do I have to order all of my windows at the same time? Is there a minimum number to order?
    We recommend that you order at least all the windows that are side by side in the same room.
  8. Can I order an outside mount valence even though my blind is going to be an inside mount?
    Sure. All you need to do is specify in writing via email that you want an outside mount valance. The email to use is info@serenityhomefinishings.com
  9. How long will my order take?
    Your order will take approximately 10 to 15 days to deliver. However, this varies depending on the product and the size of the order.
  10. Can my order be cancelled?
    1. Yes, but only within a 12 hour window after placing the order. No exceptions.
    2. Your request must be received in writing via email at info@serenityhomefinishings.com
    3. Your request will be confirmed via email. However, if you do not receive a response please email again.

Procedures

  1. If you are unsure of the color, style, or size that you want to order, then please email us at info@serenityhomefinishings.comfor assistance
  2. When placing your order be sure to order exact measurements for an inside mount
    1. The appropriate deductions will be made during manufacturing.
  3. When placing an order for an outside mount order the exact width and height that you want your finished blind/shade to be. We do not add or take away from your measurements for an outside mount.
    1. However this is not the case with roller shades. You will want to add at least an inch on both sides  for an outside mount. Please email info@serenityhomefinishings.comfor more information.
  4. If you have a special request, instructions for your order please specify this in writing via email to info@serenityhomefinishings.com
    1. Even though you submit a request there is no guarantee that it is possible. Our design consultant will be in touch to confirm your request along with your order prior to your order going to production.
  5. When your order arrives please inspect your order immediately.
    1. If the box(s) look damaged then refuse the order – do not sign for it.
    2. Be sure to keep all of your original boxes and packaging for at least 30 days.
  6. If there is damage to your blind/shade, but not to the box then call the shipping company immediately.
    1. You will need to give them the tracking number off of the damaged blind’s box. You may have to take pictures of the box and the damage to the blind/shade as well.
    2. The damaged blind will need to be returned in the original box and packaging and will either be repaired or replaced.
  7. If you receive the wrong color or wrong product please notify us immediately at info@serenityhomefinishings.com
    1. You will to return the blind/shade in the original box and packaging so it can be inspected and corrected by our manufacturing department.
