Pleated Shades are similar in form to Cellular Shades, only without the honeycomb cell in the center (making it not quite as energy efficient). These shades, as described by their name, have a pleated (multiple fold) design. The fabric selection for Pleated Shades is a bit broader than for Cellular Shades.

Options include Privacy Liner or a Blackout Liner. The Privacy Liner allows light to filter through, but no one can see through. The Blackout Liner is Room Darkening which keeps light from filtering through the shade. However, depending on how square your windows are you may see light around the edges of the shade between the shade and your window frame. One way around that would be to order an outside mount and either mount to your trim or the wall around your window trim.
